Using Discernment Follow No Man
Everything that follows is a personal opinion. Everyone has the right to believe as they see fit. This one is mine.
You can go to any church and follow their doctrine and still not be saved. It is your personal relationship with our Saviour Jesus Christ that in the end of the day determines your Salvation. It is through His Grace that we are saved. Could you be saved and be in the Catholic Church, the Baptist Church or any denomination, I mean they all have radically different views on doctrine but if that doctrine is based on man’s interpretation and if that doesn’t line up with Word then it is simply just that, an interpretation of man and not God. So following the doctrine that is put out by man isn’t what saves. It is giving your life up to Christ and faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That alone leads us to our Salvation. The Bible is the Word and the Word is the Living Truth, Jesus Christ. Following the teachings of a Church won’t be the key to your Salvation, following a man won’t either but giving your life to Christ, faith and following His word, will. If the doctrine that is taught by a man does not follow the Bible, if they have to bring other texts, anything from outside the Bible to prove their way of thinking then it is not in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ. In the end it is up to you, it’s your soul, your spirit on the line. It is your personal salvation and relationship with the Lord. YOU will have to stand before the Lord and answer for you life, no one else, not the Catholic Church, not the Baptist Church, no one but you.
I am of the opinion that the need for anyone to publicly display images of sexual nature and say that it’s spiritually driven is not of the Holy Spirit. It is demonic. It is a demon or they are run by the spirit of a demon. It would appear to be a perverse desire to dominate sexually. I personally believe it is about power, that’s all rape is. It’s about the desire to hold power over another individual and it is being done on a global scale. When one displays perverse sexual images or when anyone goes into graphic sexual terminology to describe scripture it is not the Holy Spirit that is driving them to show you, it is at the pleasure of a sick and twisted demon. The fear that anyone wields by threatening a person that questions them by using Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, is a weapon. It is itself, Blaspheming the Holy Spirit. In saying by questioning them, it is questioning the Holy Spirit and if you do so you are blaspheming the Holy Spirit, damning you to hell, then they are putting themselves on the level of Jesus Christ. This a level that even John the Baptist, who WAS a Prophet, was quick to not be on. Anyone that does this puts themselves squarely on the same plane as Christ himself, forgetting what John said in verse 3:30
John 3:30 He must increase but I must decrease
or what John the Baptist said in Luke 3:15-16
Luke 3:15-16
15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
Focus on the goodness of man, to do other wise is not of God.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
This fear that is wielded gives one the power to present heretical doctrine without question. Then by using perverse imagery and verbiage it continues to feed that demonic soul. One disguises this by masquerading as the light, and those who follow do not understand the peril their very souls are in. One does this by focusing on all of the evil in the world. It’s in imagery, sculptures, an obsession with using commercials and movies to show the evil in the world. It is intertwined into doctrine as well.
Lisa Loraine Baker wrote a fantastic article on crosswalk.com about the Bible meaning of Elohim Angels. I would like to quote a small part because it is most applicable to this video’s subject matter. “People can get caught up in ideas and philosophies which suit their emotional state when something looks or feels good. The light they see/feel is in fact, darkness (Ephesians 5:8-14). Thank God for Jesus, the Light of men (John 1:4-5; Luke 8:16-17; 1 Corinthians 4:5) who exposes false teaching and leads us to the Truth.”
Do you really think the Lord didn’t create man in His own image? One wants you to think so. How? By weaving a tale of false doctrine using texts that are not Biblical such as the Acts of Peter which is a ministry cornerstone. There is the only one textual instance where it is mentioned that Peter was crucified upside down. There is a difference between tangible proof and faith and tradition. Instead basing most of one’s doctrine on a document that has been proven to be of questionable origin is a more convenient stance. Stating it as the truth doesn’t make it so. Peter didn’t write it and it came out in the latter part of the 2nd century AD and most scholars now believe it was written by one of five separate authors who wrote other Apocryphal Texts such as the Acts of Andrew, Acts of John, Acts of Paul, and Acts of Thomas. The current consensus is that the five works are interrelated. Yet this text is used because it furthers a doctrine about turning everything upside down. If you understand that this text is inauthentic as a Gospel of Peter, and you take the Word of God as it is written, then there is nothing to promote this doctrine. Especially if you don’t cherry pick scripture and meanings using Strong’s Concordance and take verses out of context. But this is exactly what some do.
I recently read about another person who’s name is Arnold Murray. This is from a website called gotquestions.org but many others hold the same view. “Murray’s habit of branding everyone who disagrees with him as a tool of the devil was a telling sign of his theology. Rather than instruct or correct with love and compassion Murray responded with anger, aggressiveness, and secrecy, and he inspired the same contempt and anger in many of his followers.
Murray’s teaching takes verses out of context, which makes it easy to twist their meaning. He talked about original Greek and Hebrew word meanings, but only when he could pick an alternate translation that seemed to support his opinion. When others questioned his conclusions, Murray attacked the questioner rather than defend his view. Murray came to the Bible with his own pre-conceived opinions and then twisted the Word of God to make it fit.
For example, Murray claimed that Cain was actually the son of Eve and Satan—the serpent seed doctrine. He ignored Genesis 4:1 which says, “Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, ‘With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man’” (Genesis 4:1). Adam was Cain’s father, and there is no reason to believe otherwise. Murray also connected the parable of the good and bad seed in Matthew 13 with God’s curse of the serpent in Genesis 3 despite nothing in the context to connect the two passages. ” Does this sound familiar? It should. It’s exactly what is in other’s playbooks as well. Almost verbatim. The description of manipulative and abusive behavior to the cherry picking and twisting of scripture.
What spirit rejoices in evil? What spirit wants fear? What spirit wants you to follow a false doctrine, or anything to pull you off of the path of Salvation? Even basic discernment will enable you to answer this question. It’s not the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
There seems to be no humility in some. Some are quick to take credit of healing, laying on of hands. It’s always about their personal testimony as they do it, quick to point out that the Lord has sent them, or the Lord told them to do it, then it’s all about how what they have done. It’s never about the faith in Christ of the individual who they have laid hands on. This is right out of the narcissist’s handbook.
Act 3:11-12
11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
Finally here are three verses that totally debunk the idea that we are fallen angels and that fallen angels were the creators in Genesis 1. The scriptures can not be broken. Scripture proves scripture, right? Here you go. God created everything in Genesis 1, not fallen angels.
Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Nehemiah 9:6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Psalms 148:2-5
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
Marks of the True Christian
Romans 12:9-21
9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Stay in the Word. Try to edify Christ in all things. Stay out of the dark and away from those that dwell in it. Find the good in all men. Use your discernment, follow no man.
