Episode 4
Lucifer vs. Satan Isaiah 14
15 minutes
I have decided to post these transcripts before I do the videos and release the audio as I felt it important enough to get this out to you as soon as possible.
Welcome back this is the forth episode of the All About Kleck Nerdcast – Audio Files for Audiophiles. I have written these episodes using bits and pieces of articles that have vital facts that substantiate my claims plus lots of personal experiences and commentary. In this episode I will be discussing Lucifer vs. Satan and Isaiah 14 and Jonathan Kleck’s complete butchering of a Latin translation to completely lie about a Catholic ceremony in the Vatican. This particular episode focuses on how he manipulates the truth to bolster a false narrative about the Catholic church and it’s open Satanic worship. I wouldn’t say manipulate the truth, more like completely lie to support his claim the Vatican is evil. I’m not here to say the Vatican is or isn’t evil, I’ll leave that up to the Lord God Himself but what I am going to do is show you how Jonathan Kleck lied and this lie is a cornerstone of his ministry.
I am not going to spend a lot of time going over the history of the Vulgate but I will give a brief description of what it is. The Vulgate, also called Biblia Vulgata (Bible in common tongue), is a late 4th-century Latin translation of the Bible. The Vulgate is largely the work of Jerome who, in 382 AD, had been commissioned by Pope Damasus I to revise the Vetus Latina Gospels used by the Roman Church. Later, on his own initiative, Jerome extended this work of revision and translation to include most of the books of the Bible. The Vulgate became progressively adopted as the Bible text within the Western Church.
Now what Jerome did when he translated Isaiah 14 was take the Greek word (heōsphoros), “bringer of dawn”, the Ancient Greek name for the morning star and the Hebrew word Helel ben Shachar, Hebrew for “shining one, son of the morning”) utilizing scriptural source words from not one, but two different languages to translate the term morning star, bringer of the dawn, into Latin. In both source languages the reference was to the planet Venus which was considered the morning star, the brightest light in the morning sky right before dawn.
The title “Hêlêl ben Šāḥar” refers to the planet Venus as the morning star, and that is how the Hebrew word is usually interpreted. Jerome translated morning star into Latin using two roots, one from lux (genitive lucis) “light” and the other, ferre “to carry, bear,”.
It is also critical to note that the term Lucifer only occurs once in the KJV Bible found only in Isaiah 14:12. Also, as with any scripture, in order to fully understand the reference to lucifer in this passage the entire chapter must be taken in context not just Isaiah 14:12-15.
Context is king.
That was a nerd pun as the verse is a prophesy by God written through Isaiah to the King of Bavel.
God is putting the King of Babylon on notice, He will return the land back to the Israelites, restoring Israel.
According to many scholars the verses 14:12-15 refer to the fall of the King of Babylon. This taunt was directed at the recently fallen King of Babylon after the fall of Assyria.
The Day Star was usually a foreign deity, such as Inanna (Babylonian) or Ishtar(Assyrian & Canaanite).
Stars were bright. Brightness is a common description of divine beings throughout the ancient world. They are often described as luminous or fiery. Divine beings were therefore associated with, or identified with, objects in the sky — stars or planets. This idea is all over the Ancient Near East.
It’s clear that the king wanted to elevate himself as a deity upon the mountain. This is echoed in the phrase in verse 13 “I will sit on the mount of assembly“. It was not uncommon for rulers in the Ancient Near East to hold themselves as a minor deity, doing the work of a greater deity. This was true of a number of Mesopotamian characters, such as Naram-Sin of Akkad. Nearly all of the Ancient Near East rulers from 2000-539 BCE had the name of a deity as part of their own name. This was to reinforce their deified nature or imply that they were selected by that deity. The victim of Isaiah’s taunt is just one of many rulers seeking deification.
Then we have in Verse 16 “Those who see you will gaze at you, They will ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms”
and in Verse 17 “Who made the world like a wilderness And overthrew its cities, Who did not allow his prisoners to go home?”
This is clearly talking about a man, not Satan, an Assyrian King who was despised as a tyrant and would take the leaders out of their homelands which was common in many of the military campaigns of the Assyrians.
Then in Verse 21 Isaiah is talking about the King’s sons. It was also common in the Ancient Near East for sons of slain rulers to be killed to prevent them from seeking the throne or lead a rebellion with loyalists.
21 “Prepare for his sons a place of slaughter Because of the iniquity of their fathers. They must not arise and take possession of the earth And fill the face of the world with cities.”
Needless to say lucifer wasn’t translated as Satan, but the Morning Star Venus and it was directly in reference to the fallen Assyrian King of Bavel.
Nothing to do with Satan. Then you have Jerome translating the day star into the Latin word lucifer in 382 AD. Translated approximately 1000 years after Isaiah. So based on that premise the word lucifer, which only occurs once in the Bible, has no grounds to mean Satan. It was later associated with the meaning after centuries of erroneously linking it to Isaiah 14.
Day star is mentioned 1 time in the KJV and it references Jesus in 2nd Peter 1:19 2 Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Morning Star is referenced twice to reference Jesus, both in Revelation:
Rev 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
The Bible is the Truth so you can’t have the meaning be both Satan and Jesus and scripture proves scripture. In the context of Isaiah 14 the morning star references a fallen King of Babylon written 700 years before Christ. Lucifer, the Latin translation for the day star or morning star was associated with the the planet Venus. Because the word in Latin means light bringer or light bearer, in early associations it was also used in early Christian prayer to mean Jesus Christ as well as being in the New Testament in Revelation and Peter where Jesus Christ IS the bringer of light, the light of the world.
Now here’s where Jonathan Kleck twists the translation to suit his doctrine. He takes the Exsultet which is millennium old celebratory prayer in Latin and takes the literal word lucifer to mean Satan. Why does he do this you ask? Because of his absolute hatred of the Catholic Church. The only time Day or Morning Star are mentioned in the Bible are all three in reference to Jesus Christ, not Satan. So why does Jonathan Kleck do this? To confuse and deceive. What spirit deceives? Certain not the Holy Spirit. Here is the proof of what I am talking about. In the Exsultet there is a verse in Latin that says this. Now I am not even going to say I won’t butcher Latin pronunciation so I got someone who gave me soundbite with proper pronunciation:
Orámus ergo te, Dómine, ut céreus iste in honórem tui nóminis consecrátus, ad noctis huius calíginem destruéndam, indefíciens persevéret. Et in odórem suavitátis accéptus,
Flammas eius lúcifer matutínus invéniat: ille, inquam, lúcifer, qui nescit occásum. Christus Fílius tuus, qui, regréssus ab ínferis, humáno géneri serénus illúxit, et vivit et regnat in sæcula sæculórum.
Now the English translation is critical:
Therefore, O Lord, we pray you that this candle, hallowed to the honour of your name, may persevere undimmed, to overcome the darkness of this night. Receive it as a pleasing fragrance, and let it mingle with the lights of heaven. May this flame be found still burning by the Morning Star: the one Morning Star who never sets, Christ your Son, who, coming back from death’s domain, has shed his peaceful light on humanity, and lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen
Punctuation counts even in Latin. By the Morning Star colon (:), the one Morning Star who never sets comma, Christ your Son. Clearly this indicates that Christ your Son was the one Morning Star that never sets, not Satan/Lucifer. A colon often precedes an explanation, a list, or a quoted sentence. In this case it precedes an explanation “Christ your Son is the one Morning Star that never sets.” It is preceded in the beginning of the verse with “Therefore, O Lord, we pray you that this candle,” It would make absolutely no sense if it read “by the Lucifer: the one Lucifer who never sets, Christ your Son,” because it clearly states the it is referencing that Christ is the Lord’s Son.
This Exsultet was written over 1200 years ago and no more than 400 years after the Vulgate was written. These are facts. It stands to reason that the term lucifer was still being used at that time to reference the Day Star or Morning Star (Jesus not Satan) in many writings, not just Isaiah. In the case of Isaiah it is readily apparent that it is connecting the Day Star or Venus to the fallen King of Babylon. You can NOT apply the modern meaning of a word that was written so long ago. There is a lot to be considered. How was the word used, context, cultural understandings of the time, idioms, slang, etc. All of these things factor in to the true meaning of a word or phrase. Jonathan disregards this fact to further his vitriol, deception and lies against the very church he seems to get the foundation for his doctrine from such as the Pistis Sophia and the Acts of Peter. This is actually one his larger cornerstones of his doctrine. But if you start to look at it this lie has more holes in it than swiss cheese. He perpetuates this lie and deceives those who are gaslit by him. Why doesn’t anyone ever come against him on this? Because he claims that the information he is getting from is through the Holy Spirit. He states that if you come against him you are actually coming against the one who sent him, Then he goes on to say because you question him you are questioning the Holy Spirit and therefore blaspheming the Holy Spirit and are going to the eternal pit of hell forever.
The question I have is how can this be from the Holy Spirit when his translation is clearly based on a lie, a falsehood, an untruth. Does this sound like the Holy Spirit to you?
Vilifying a religious group based on a mistranslated word to further an agenda of a doctrine based on cherry picked scripture and Gnosticism is just as evil as the organization you are trying to prove is.
I was going to do Episode 5 on the Bell Ringer but now I think we’ll just segway right into Blaspheming the Holy Spirit, what it means and how Jonathan Kleck weaponizes it into a fear tactic to hide behind.
